Welcome to Find A Tradie Tas | a Tasmanian-built, Tasmanian-owned local tradie directory operated by Divine by Design, based in Tasmania, Australia. By accessing or using our website at findatradietas.com.au, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Find A Tradie Tas is an online directory that connects Tasmanian homeowners with local tradespeople. We are an advertising and listing platform | we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any trades services.

2. For Homeowners
2.1 Free Service
Using Find A Tradie Tas to find and contact tradespeople is completely free for homeowners. There are no sign-up fees, no subscription costs, and no charges for contacting tradies through our directory.
2.2 Directory Only
Find A Tradie Tas is a directory service. We connect you with tradespeople but we are not a party to any agreement, contract, or transaction between you and a tradie. All arrangements, quotes, contracts, and payments are made directly between you and the tradie.
2.3 Your Responsibility
While we verify ABN status and licence numbers at the time of listing, we encourage homeowners to conduct their own due diligence before engaging a tradie, including:
- Confirming their ABN is still active at abn.business.gov.au
- Checking their licence is current with Consumer, Building and Occupational Services Tasmania (CBOS)
- Requesting a copy of their public liability insurance certificate
- Getting a written quote before any work commences
3. For Tradies | Listings & Subscriptions
3.1 Subscription Tiers
Find A Tradie Tas offers four subscription tiers. Features are as listed at the time of subscription and may be updated with 30 days written notice to existing subscribers.
Tier 1 | Get Found
$20 per week | founding member rate, locked in permanently while subscription remains active and uninterrupted.
Includes:
- Listed in the Find A Tradie Tas directory
- ABN Verified badge displayed on listing
- Region tags | listing appears only in selected service areas
- Trade category listing
- Phone and email contact details displayed
Founding rate note: If a founding member cancels their subscription and later rejoins, the founding rate will no longer apply. Standard pricing at the time of rejoining will be charged. The founding rate is non-transferable.
Tier 2 | Get Enquiries
Standard weekly rate applies. Includes everything in Get Found, plus:
- Business photo and bio displayed on listing
- Clickable website link (SEO backlink to tradie's website)
- Business hours displayed on listing
- Direct "Request a Quote" form on listing | enquiries delivered to tradie's nominated email address
Tier 3 | Get Noticed
Standard weekly rate applies. Includes everything in Get Enquiries, plus:
- Random rotation placement at the top of trade category search results on every page load
- Maximum 3 Get Noticed listings per trade per town | scarcity capped
- Homepage featured spot (rotating among eligible listings)
- Regular social media promotion to the Find A Tradie Tas audience
- Star rating displayed on listing
- Customer reviews displayed on listing
Placement note: Top placement is shared equally via random rotation among all Get Noticed tradies in the same trade and town. Placement is not guaranteed to any individual tradie at any specific time.
Tier 4 | Get Jobs
Standard weekly rate applies. Includes everything in Get Noticed, plus:
- Added to the Find A Tradie Tas quote distribution pool
- Quote requests from homeowners delivered directly to tradie's nominated email address
- Maximum 3 Get Jobs listings per trade per town | scarcity capped
- Leads distributed equally among eligible Get Jobs tradies in the relevant trade and town
Leads note: Find A Tradie Tas does not guarantee a minimum number of leads or quote requests. Lead volume depends on homeowner enquiry activity in the tradie's nominated service areas.
3.1a Weekly & Monthly Pricing
Subscriptions can be paid weekly or monthly. Monthly billing is discounted by 10% | less than 4 × the weekly rate. Pay monthly, save money, and reduce the admin of weekly transfers.
Monthly billing is charged as 4 × the weekly rate. Monthly billing covers the full calendar month regardless of the number of weeks. Tradie may switch between weekly and monthly billing at any time by contacting hello@findatradietas.com.au.
3.2 Payment Obligations
All subscriptions are billed weekly. By submitting a listing application, the tradie agrees to the following payment terms in full.
Recurring payment setup is mandatory. Your listing will not be activated until proof of a recurring weekly PayID transfer has been received by Find A Tradie Tas. This requirement exists to protect both parties | it ensures your listing stays active without interruption and removes the need for weekly manual payments.
How to Set Up Your Recurring Payment
Your listing will be activated within 24 hours of receiving proof of payment setup.
Missed payments: If a weekly payment is missed, Find A Tradie Tas will contact the tradie by email. If payment is not received within 7 days of the missed payment date, the listing will be temporarily suspended. If payment is not received within 14 days, the listing will be permanently removed. Reinstatement after removal requires a new application at current pricing | founding member rates are forfeited upon removal.
3.3 Price Changes
Find A Tradie Tas reserves the right to change standard tier pricing with 30 days written notice to existing subscribers. Founding member rates ($20/week for Tier 1 | Get Found) are exempt from price increases for as long as the subscription remains active and uninterrupted.
3.4 Cancellation
There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel your listing at any time by emailing hello@findatradietas.com.au. Upon cancellation:
- Your listing will be deactivated within 24 hours of your cancellation request
- You are responsible for cancelling your recurring PayID transfer in your internet banking
- No refunds are provided for partial weeks already paid
- Founding member rates are permanently forfeited upon cancellation
3.6 Pausing Your Listing
We understand that business has seasons | you might go on leave, have a quieter patch, or need a short break. We're not a faceless national platform. We're a Tasmanian business and we want to work with you.
Listings can be paused under the following conditions:
- Pause requests must be submitted by email to hello@findatradietas.com.au
- Listings can be paused for up to 4 weeks per calendar year at no charge
- During a pause, your listing is hidden from the directory but your account and founding member rate (if applicable) remain intact
- Pauses beyond 4 weeks per calendar year may be granted at our discretion but may require continued payment to hold your spot | particularly for Get Noticed and Get Jobs tiers where spots are capped
- Your recurring PayID transfer should be paused through your internet banking during a listing pause and reactivated when your listing resumes
Before cancelling, please reach out to us first | email hello@findatradietas.com.au and we'll do our best to find a solution that works for you. We'd rather pause your listing than lose you from the directory.
3.5 Upgrading or Downgrading
You can upgrade or downgrade your tier at any time by emailing hello@findatradietas.com.au. Changes take effect within 24 hours. You will need to update your recurring PayID transfer amount to match the new tier rate.
4. Verification
4.1 ABN Verification
All tradies listed on Find A Tradie Tas have had their ABN verified as active on the Australian Business Register at the time of listing. We do not continuously monitor ABN status after initial verification. Tradies are responsible for notifying us if their ABN status changes.
4.2 Licence Verification
For trades that require a licence in Tasmania (including plumbers, electricians, and gas fitters), we verify licence numbers through Consumer, Building and Occupational Services Tasmania (CBOS) at the time of listing. Tradies are responsible for maintaining current licences and notifying us of any changes.
4.3 Fully Verified Badge | Insurance
Tradies who provide a current Certificate of Currency for public liability insurance receive a "Fully Verified" badge on their listing. We verify the certificate at the time of submission. Tradies are responsible for maintaining current insurance coverage and providing updated certificates upon renewal. The Fully Verified badge will be removed if insurance coverage lapses.
4.4 Tradie Obligations
By listing on Find A Tradie Tas, tradies agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information at all times
- Maintain active ABN registration throughout their subscription
- Hold and maintain any licences required for their trade in Tasmania
- Respond to homeowner enquiries promptly
- Notify Find A Tradie Tas of any changes to their credentials, contact details, or service areas
Important: Find A Tradie Tas is a directory and advertising platform. We do not employ, supervise, endorse, or guarantee the work of any tradie listed on our platform. Any agreement for works is solely between the homeowner and the tradie.
5. For Homeowners | Quote Requests
When you submit a quote request through Find A Tradie Tas, your contact details and job description will be forwarded to relevant local tradies. By submitting a quote request you consent to your details being shared with up to 3 tradies in the relevant trade and location.
Find A Tradie Tas does not guarantee a response from tradies. Quote requests are facilitated as a convenience only and do not constitute a contract or commitment from any tradie.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Find A Tradie Tas is not liable for:
- The quality, safety, or reliability of services provided by any listed tradie
- Any disputes, delays, or non-completion of work by a tradie
- Any financial loss or damage arising from a transaction between a homeowner and a tradie
- Losses arising from expired or invalid credentials after our initial verification
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our platform
- Loss of leads, enquiries, or business resulting from listing suspension or removal
7. Accuracy of Information
Tradies are responsible for ensuring all information on their listing is accurate, current, and not misleading. Find A Tradie Tas reserves the right to remove or correct listings that contain inaccurate or misleading information without notice or refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Find A Tradie Tas website | including text, design, logo, and structure | is owned by Divine by Design and may not be reproduced without permission. Tradies retain ownership of photos and content they submit for their listings but grant Find A Tradie Tas a licence to display that content on the directory and in social media promotion.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes by email with 30 days notice. Continued use of the website or maintenance of a listing after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tasmanian courts.
